product description

KMBP Hemodialysis Peristaltic Pump

High-Flow Transfer for Shear-Sensitive Fluids

The Kamoer KMBP is a two-roller peristaltic pump designed for continuous transfer of blood, cell suspensions, culture media, and other shear-sensitive fluids. It combines a spring-loaded compression mechanism, brushless DC geared motor, transparent pump cover, and self-guiding tubing installation.

With a reference flow range of 6–850 mL/min, PWM or 0–7.5 V speed control, and a motor reference service life of at least 10,000 hours, the KMBP is suitable for blood dialysis systems, bioreactors, laboratory research equipment, and other OEM fluid-handling devices.

Key Features

Spring-Loaded Tubing Compression

The spring-loaded roller assembly automatically adapts to the tubing and maintains controlled compression during operation. This flexible pumping mechanism helps reduce unnecessary mechanical stress when transferring viable cells or other shear-sensitive fluids.

The design also provides pressure-overload limitation to help protect the tubing and pump mechanism under abnormal operating conditions.

Wide Flow Range

The KMBP provides a specified flow range of 6–850 mL/min.

Two PVC tubing sizes are supported:

  • 6 × 10 mm: up to 520 mL/min per tubing path

  • 8 × 12 mm: up to 850 mL/min per tubing path

Actual flow depends on motor speed, tubing condition, liquid properties, outlet pressure, and operating conditions.

Self-Guiding Tubing Installation

The tubing can be pre-positioned inside the pump head before the cover is closed. When the pump starts at low speed, the tubing automatically enters the correct operating track, simplifying installation and reducing setup time.

Brushless DC Geared Motor

The 24 V brushless DC motor is paired with a precision gearbox for continuous operation with controlled temperature rise. The motor has a reference service life of at least 10,000 hours under the manufacturer’s test conditions.

Adjustable Speed Control

The motor supports two speed-control methods:

  • PWM control

  • 0–7.5 V analog voltage control

The pump operates over a specified pump-head speed range of 4–75 rpm. Direction control and speed feedback are also available for automated equipment integration.

Speed Feedback

The motor provides a feedback signal of 36 pulses per motor revolution, allowing the host controller to monitor motor speed and operating status.

Transparent Pump Cover

The transparent PCTG pump cover allows operators to observe tubing position and pump operation without opening the pump head.

Position and Cover Detection

Hall sensors can support roller-position and pump-cover status detection, helping the equipment controller manage startup, tubing loading, and safety interlocks.

Sealed Panel Integration

The mounting structure is designed to support sealed panel installation where the final equipment requires enhanced enclosure protection. The actual IP rating must be verified at the complete-device level.

Manual Emergency Operation

In an emergency, the roller assembly can be rotated manually using the operating lever, allowing the tubing or fluid path to be repositioned when powered operation is unavailable.

Typical Applications

  • Blood dialysis equipment

  • Bioreactor circulation and perfusion

  • Cell-culture media transfer

  • Shear-sensitive cell suspension transfer

  • Laboratory research equipment

  • Biochemical analysis systems

  • OEM life-science fluid-handling equipment

Suitability for medical or life-science use must be evaluated and validated in the final device.

Reference Flow Performance

Tubing Size Maximum Reference Flow
6 × 10 mm 520 mL/min per tubing path
8 × 12 mm 850 mL/min per tubing path

The reference values were measured using pure water at 20°C, standard atmospheric pressure, and zero outlet pressure. Actual performance may vary with the liquid, tubing properties, outlet pressure, motor-speed tolerance, and duty cycle.

The manual’s reference pressure curve for 8 × 12 mm tubing indicates relatively stable flow up to approximately 1.5 bar before flow begins to decline. Pressure performance should be verified under actual operating conditions.
